I've been going batty since 2003 waiting for my new Harry Potter book! Finally, on July 16th, it came out and made me very happy! I won't spoil it for you but I will continue with my mantra of "Slytherin: Evil Fuckers and Proud" as long as I live. (Yes, I wore that shirt but I covered it up so as not to offend the kids.)
The Barnes and Noble in Burbank had this superlatively awesome midnight release party. I snapped pictures with my sidekick as I walked around, which is why that are all lo-quality.
If you can't tell, that is my giant Slytherin banner behind me.
Because I am a nerd to rule all nerds, I won a broomstick. There was a "Tri-Wizard tournament." You had to get sorted into your houses first (I, in all my Slytherin shit, was sorted into Gryffindor to my abject horror.) Champions were then selected at random and I was pulled as the Gryffindor champion. (Oh sweet irony.) After 3 tasks and a tie-breaker, I won! So I got a rad broomstick! Werd!
